Claudio Cavicchi is a skilled pipe maker with over 50 years of experience, known for his remarkable ability to highlight the intricate grain of each block of briar, transforming it into stunning pieces. Although Cavicchi's profile often features bent Eggs, this particular rendition is unique, with a paneled scratch of smooth briar on its underside that reaches from the rim of the bowl to the junction. The bowl displays a forward urging posture that is balanced by an upturned shank and demurely bent stem out back. This piece is nicely balanced throughout, allowing it to sit alone without the aid of a pipe stand, and with a respectable tobacco chamber, it's ideal for a multitasking smoker. The stummel wears one of Claudio's intricate sandblasts, showcasing rippling growth rings throughout, all underneath a vibrant auburn-hued stain.
