Claudio Cavicchi: Brown Sandblasted Bent Pot Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-400-3653
Claudio Cavicchi is truly a master of his craft, and his ability to coax the best possible grain out of every piece of briar will always astound me. His over 50 years of experience ensures that his pipes are not only beautiful, but expertly shaped and precisely drilled. This bent Pot is an understated shape overall, yet it maintains an air of neoclassicism thanks to its robust bowl, here sat atop a firm heel. Said bowl boasts thick walls and a defined forward urge that draws the eye to the fore and enhances the presence of the walls' stout, cylindrical construction. Atop this dynamic, substantive bowl, a domed rim rises to overlook a broad chamber, while a wide transition gives way to a lifted shank out back. A wide transition gives way to this shank before it's met by a sleek saddle stem of demurely curved black acrylic, poising this pipe for comfortable smoking and enhancing its poised look. The stummel here has been dressed in one of Cavicchi's excellent sandblasts and stained a rich auburn, Claudio's talent for shaping to the grain showcased in the rippling growth rings that cascade down the bowl.
