Claudio Cavicchi: Brown Smooth Cherrywood Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-400-3674
Claudio Cavicchi is truly a master of his craft, and his ability to coax the best possible grain out of every piece of briar will always astound me. His over 50 years of experience ensures that his pipes are not only beautiful, but expertly shaped and precisely drilled. It's not often that Cavicchi crafts the Cherrywood shape, with iterations such as this one representing one of his most seldom-seen takes on the form. A stable sitter, this pipe boasts a flat heel that supports its tall bowl and allows the pipe to rest easily during a smoke. The walls of the bowl pinch toward the middle as they rise with a defined forward cant, drawing the eye to the rounded edges of the rim, though the rim itself is flat. A deep, broad chamber makes this pipe great for leisurely smoking, and a wide transition out back pairs the bowl to a curling shank and stem combination that's well-suited to a hands-free experience. Dressed in one of Cavicchi's rich, walnut-stained smooth finishes, the stummel showcases handsome grain throughout, the bowl and shank wrapped in a pattern of dense flame grain.
