Claudio Cavicchi: Smooth Bent Pot (CCC) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-400-3691

Claudio Cavicchi is truly a master of his craft, and his ability to coax the best possible grain out of every piece of briar will always astound me. His over 50 years of experience ensures that his pipes are not only beautiful, but expertly shaped and precisely drilled. Cavicchi has carved a number of different bent Pot renditions, though this piece stands out for being especially curvaceous of shank and stem, with this curvature being emphasized by the pipe's comparatively compact footprint. At just a bit over five inches long, this bent Pot is fairly handy, and it's possessed of ample robustness through its bowl that makes it a substantial piece despite its rather reserved dimensions. Said bowl stands on a muscular, slightly pronounced heel, easily supporting its thick walls as they make a slight bit of taper to the domed rim, while a single, crisp beadline sits just below this rim. A tight transition out back gives way to a cylindrical shank that lifts to meet a sleek and smartly curved stem of black acrylic, poising the pipe for comfortable smoking. Dressed in one of Cavicchi's iconic honey-blonde stains, this pipe has earned the carver's CCCC-grade, and it showcases a wealth of handsome grain, with plenty of dense flame surrounding the walls of the bowl.
