Claudio Cavicchi: Smooth Acorn (Perla) Tobacco Pipe

With over 50 years of experience, it's no wonder Claudio Cavicchi has honed the ability to craft stunning designs around beautiful grain patterns. Among Cavicchi's pipes, two gradings reign above all others: the Perla and the Diamante. While the Perla is typically more obtainable than Diamante, it's still a rare find and is reserved for pipes the craftsman deems close to perfection, including this Acorn. Upon first observation, it's clear why this pipe has been given such an honor, as remarkable flicks of flame grain wrap all sides of the bowl and flanks of the shank. Lovely and dense patches of birdseye can also be seen across the rim, sure to entertain the eye of the smoker. Shape-wise, this Acorn remains fairly traditional, with the bowl's insulated walls forming a softly lenticular profile at the rim. Said bowl is paired to a rounded shank that takes up the majority of the aft's visual weight before connecting to an abbreviated saddle stem out back.
