Claudio Cavicchi: Brown Sandblasted Bent Dublin Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-400-3746

Italian artisan Claudio Cavicchi boasts over 50 years of pipe making experience and possesses an uncanny talent for bringing out the very best from a block of briar. His portfolio is full of evocative interpretations of classic shapes, and he is known by many artisans to have some of the best grain in the world, with even his non-graded pipes rivaling the top-tier pieces of other workshops. With its plateau-crowned rim, crisp sandblast, and flowing composition, this bent Dublin is but one example of Cavicchi's expertise.

From stem to rim, this bent Dublin is all flowing curves. The bowl flares out, as one would expect from a Dublin, but with gracefully curved lines that hew closer to Horn territory than traditionally conical. Behind the bowl, a parabolic transition gives way to a flared, upward-tilted shank. Said shank is capped with a hearty display of plateau, as is the rim of the bowl. The ruggedness of the plateau complements the highly-textured sandblast dressing the rest of the stummel. Joining the stummel is a deeply-bent acrylic stem with an expansion ring and fishtail bit — all of which aid in a comfortable smoking experience.
