A slightly bent Billiard is always a thing of beauty, and doubly so when it's crafted by Jess Chonowitsch. This piece is truly classic, with its cumberland stem and black sandblast contrasted by the red-hued and smooth-polished rim. The saddle bit serves to draw the eye forward to the stummel, itself covered with an excellent, low profile sandblast that highlights the briar's natural growth rings as they climb the bowl. A thick transition flows smoothly through the muscular shank, serving to balance the larger bowl quite neatly, tapering slightly at the end. With a generously deep tobacco chamber, an easy balance in the hand, and phenomenal workmanship by one of the finest pipemakers alive, this is a pipe to cherish for a lifetime.
