Alright, there's great broad strokes of ring grain circling about this briar and a wonderful, long stretch of bamboo, and all that, but what caught my eye most thoroughly in this Chris Asteriou was, ultimately, the smallest of its details.
It was that tiny, glistening ring of horn. I wouldn't usually describe a horn accent as glistening, but something about this one's diminutive nature, light color, rounded form, and position between jet-black vulcanite and quite dark bamboo just creates such an impression, as if it were a tiny, perfect pearl discretely slipped into the composition. I think that if Chris has proven anything here, it's that sometimes the smallest of accents can have the biggest of effects.
