Old German Clay: Markus Fohr Eagle's Talons Black Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-557-0006
Based out of Montabaur, Germany, Markus Fohr comes from a family that has been crafting clay pipes for generations and Markus continues that rich tradition today. Clay pipes pre-date briar ones and call to mind the old-school pieces that were common in taverns hundreds of years ago. This particular rendition takes the form of an intricate eagle's claw — a common theme among meerschaum pipes, but is just as stunning when rendered from clay. It's also more compact than the long, willowy style associated with clay pipes and was made from fumed clay, giving the piece its darkened appearance.
Note: While all of our other pipes are photographed individually, these are not, and you may expect some reasonable cosmetic variation between the example we've photographed and the pipe you've received.
