Old German Clay: Markus Fohr Offering Black Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-557-0027

Markus Fohr of Old German Clay Pipes continues his family's clay pipe-making tradition, adhering to the same hand-pressing approach used for generations. This particular design riffs off of the classic Dragon's Claw motif commonly seen on meerschaum pipes, trading the claw for a human hand that cradles the bowl. It's also significantly more compact compared to the long, willowy clay pipes seen in taverns hundreds of years ago and was fashioned from fumed clay, giving this piece its darkened color.

Note: While all of our other pipes are photographed individually, these are not, and you may expect some reasonable cosmetic variation between the example we've photographed and the pipe you've received.
