Old German Clay: Markus Fohr Aluminum Band
Product Number: 002-557-0030
Crafted by Markus Fohr in Montabaur, Germany, Old German Clay pipes are hand-pressed using vintage, traditional brass and iron pipe molds that are over 200 years old. Along with their classic aesthetic, clay pipes are renowned for their flavor neural smoking qualities and require no break-in. This particular piece is a straight Cutty with the form's signature heel spur visible underneath the transition, paired to an aluminum band and vulcanite mouthpiece. It enables this piece to be comfortably clenched without damaging the clay and is perfect for anyone curious about the smoking properties of clay pipes but prefer a familiar, more durable stem material. This arrangement allows for increased durability though it should be noted that the stem is designed to remain permanently attached and should not be removed due to clay's fragile nature.
Note: While all of our other pipes are photographed individually, these are not, and you may expect some reasonable cosmetic variation between the example we've photographed and the pipe you've received.
