Dirk Heinemann: Partially Sandblasted Cuban Reverse Calabash Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-793-0036

This Cuban design from Dirk Heinemann immediately evokes the look of his signature Tuban shape, with its compact, pocket-friendly length and minimalist aesthetic. That said, this Cuban is much more stylized in execution and features reverse Calabash engineering, the stout shank housing an expansive cooling chamber that allows for a cooler, drier smoking experience as it collects any excess moisture that develops. Though this piece measures three-and-a-half inches in length, the tobacco chamber is respectably deep and its light weight allows for comfortable clenching. The German artisan has finished the majority of this piece in a jet-black, understated sandblast, with undulating grain patterns radiating across the stummel's surface. Most notable is the smooth section along the pipe's topside, offering some excellent textural contrast and is seemingly contoured to perfectly accommodate draping a thumb or forefinger over. It's an incredibly convenient piece, especially for on-the-go pipe smokers and serves as an excellent representation of Heinemann's immense talent and creativity.
