Dirk Heinemann: Smooth Dublin Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-793-0081
While Dirk Heinemann is known for his experimental style and distinctive approach to pipe making, the German artisan never loses sight of the functionality and engineering required to make a pipe truly excel. This Dublin is in keeping with what we're used to seeing from Heinemann, and it showcases his aptitude for flowing lines, supple curves, and rich finishes.
At less than five inches long, this Dublin is a highly compact composition, but even given its snug size, it managers to retain a palpable muscularity to its construction, with a noticeable girth present across the bowl and shank alike. The bowl and shank reflect one another's unique shaping, with both ends of the stummel flaring outward from the central transition. The stummel's conflicting trajectories lend the entire form a dynamic posture in profile, and leave ample room above the transition to drape a digit. It's all dressed in an attractive auburn finish that highlights tight flame grain across the bowl's flanks.
