Dirk Heinemann: Partially Sandblasted Cuban Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-793-0102

Dirk Heinemann has an impressively diverse portfolio, skilled at crafting both fluid, gestural designs and more architectural, Freehand-inspired forms. His work showcases a penchant for experimentation, pushing the boundaries of pipe making with his distinctive, avant-garde style, as seen in this Cuban shape. A sibling to Heinemann's Tuban design, the Cuban boasts a streamlined and compact build, evoking the look and construction of a cigar. Like a cigar, the tobacco chamber is oriented at the fore of the pipe rather than at the top, though it retains a demurely curved saddle stem, ensuring a comfortable smoking posture. Most of the stummel wears a crisp, grain-defining sandblast, except for the smoothly polished, plunging section at the top near the pipe's aft. This smoothly polished section is host to a wealth of attractive birdseye and offers a comfortable space to drape a finger.
