Il Duca: Smooth Reverse Calabash Apple (C) Tobacco Pipe

Though the word "chubby" isn't in the title of this Il Duca Apple, I suspect it possibly should have been, as this design pushes some serious boundaries in terms of overt plumpness coupled with compact, Nosewarmer length. The chamber within is substantial given the pipe's diminutive size, and is surrounded on all sides by thick insulating walls that fill the palm with ease. The stummel's finished in one of Max's impressive contrast stains, a bright yellow-and-black motif and smooth finish that makes the dense vertical grain absolutely pop. The incredibly robust, abbreviated shank features reverse Calabash engineering, housing an expansive cooling chamber within that's designed to provide a cooler, drier smoke by collecting any extra moisture that accumulates over the smoking process. It's an impressive design that showcases Max Rimensi's deft engineering and stylistic versatility.
