A poised, gestural bent Egg from Max Rimensi of Il Duca, this piece exudes an organic charm. Poised at the fore a sinuous shank-and-stem arrangement, the bowl blooms upward and outward from its lifted heel to its broad, fore-slanted rim. Its upward expansion, wide, rounded flanks, and raised rim all coalesce to give the bowl a rather floral appearance, one that immediately captures the eye. The low-set transition births a slender shank that rises up into a ferrule of creamy horn. The horn accent provides a touch of silky vibrancy to the composition, contrasting subtly against the stummel's crisp sandblasted texture. Said sandblast draws out rippling stacks of grain across the bowl's flanks and provides plenty of tactile feedback for the fingers to explore. Handsome, lightweight, and all together elegant, this piece will no doubt become a favored part of any collector's rotation.
