Ferrara's Massimiliano Rimensi has honed his unique style for over 30 years. Taking the moniker Il Duca in homage to the historical rulers of his native city, Rimensi has integrated global influences into one singular style. This petite Acorn displays a touch of Danish style in its pleasantly bulbous rim and slim, tapered heel and shank, dressed in an unmistakably Italian finish. The organic and broad bowl houses a generous chamber within its thick insulating walls, making this a perfect pipe for longer smoking sessions. The weight of the pipe is perfectly distributed, with a bent acrylic saddle stem allowing for effortless clenching. This pipe also bears the added distinction of Rimensi's Conte grade designation, reserved for briar with above average grain patterns. To show off the fine natural properties of the burl, Rimensi has dressed this piece in a honey blonde stain beloved by Italian pipe makers. The gold and umber hues highlight excellent birdseye around the pipe's rim and heel, with streaks of flame grain racing up the walls and shank.
