Il Duca: Smooth Dublin with Bamboo (D) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-427-0644
Massimiliano Rimensi is an accomplished artisan based in Ferrara, Italy, who combines Italian and Danish style cues to create a unique aesthetic all his own. He produces pipes under the Il Duca name in honor of his native Ferrara's history under the dukes of House d'Este. This bent Dublin is a fine example of that work, featuring an exaggerated flared rim and sleek heel paired to a svelte shank rendered in dark bamboo. The ensemble is completed by a tapered vulcanite stem that promotes a comfortable smoking posture. Dressed in a high-contrast honey-blonde stain, the Duca-grade stummel boasts impeccable flame grain around the bowl, with a wealth of birdseye at the rim contrasted by a section of craggy plateau. Reserved for his finest work, the Duca designation speaks to the excellent briar and workmanship on display in this piece.
