The Dunhill Christmas Pipe was introduced during the early 1980s, and has continued on ever since through editions of varying length. With their The Twelve Days of Christmas edition Dunhill kept one theme running a full twelve years - one year for each day sung of in the famous carol. The current The Nutcracker and the Mouse King edition is planned to match that feat, with 2016's pipe being the sixth of a planned twelve releases.
The subject of this 2016 release is clockmaker and inventor Drosselmayer, the godfather of the children Marie and Fritz. He is represented in the usual Dunhill Christmas Pipe fashion: cast as a solid sterling silver tamper.
