Dunhill: Amber Root (4145) (2018)

Product Number: 002-015-3901

Referred to as the "Don" shape, Dunhill's "45" design is a specific rendition of the Poker that has gained a considerable following over the decades. Like the traditional Poker, Dunhill's Don features slightly canted, cylindrical, and sturdy-sitting bowl with a raised transition. The stem of the Don, however, is longer and slightly bent, fitting mount-style into the abbreviated shank. The collectible shape is found here in the Amber Root's smooth finish for a reserved and timeless aestehtic.

One of Dunhill's more recent finishes, the Amber Root was introduced in 1995. Like the Root Briar, it showcases a smooth stain, accentuating the briar's natural grain in traditional style. Typically auburn-hued, the Amber Root is often a touch darker in color than that of the Root Briar, pairing handsomely with the jet-black stem for an aesthetic that combines the grain definition of the Root Briar finish with the darker, smokier tones of the Bruyere.
