Dunhill: Root Briar Dublin (DR****) (2018) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-3973
Similar to the Hand-Turned ("HT") piece in this same batch of special Dunhill pipes, this Dublin is quite unique, especially as it relates to the English firm's wider body of work. Even still, this fellow has a rather novel, not to mention lively disposition, being what appears to be a combination of the marque's "Duke" Poker with a plateau-crowned Dublin-esque bowl sporting something of a "stepped" sense of shaping. Fittingly, it's also a Dead Root ("DR"), and a four-star specimen at that, meaning you can expect an exquisite display of flame and straight grain, an ultra-tight, undulating spread of plateau, and waves of underlying ring grain in spades. The long, lithe stem makes for a lovely complement to it all, resulting in a profile as elegant as they come. A must for the Dunhill collector.
