Dunhill: Shell Briar (4110) (2018)

Product Number: 002-015-4171

A rather craggy presentation of Dunhill's "10" shape in its Liverpool form (the other being the longer-stemmed, Bing Crosby style of smoker), this Shell Briar sets itself apart from Dunhill's other Liverpools by way of a hexagonally paneled shank. All in all, this "10" is quite the sharp little number, and perfect for anyone who love classics while also appreciating the unique.

The Shell Briar's addition to the Dunhill catalog was a pivotal moment in pipesmoking history. Before 1917, pipes with sandblasted finishes had never been made, and Alfred Dunhill's innovative mind created arguably the most popular finish for pipes today when he unveiled the Shell Briar. With its dark, reserved color palette and delightful texture, it's no surprise that it's still wildly popular over a century later.
