Dunhill: County (2108) (2018)
Product Number: 002-015-4190
Dunhill's "08" can either showcase a Bulldog's diamond shank or a Rhodesian's rounded one, the latter seen here. It's always manifested, though, in a lithely bent form, with a squat bowl and diminutive, tapered rim up front. Seen here in rarer Group 2 size, this particular one trades the shape's conventional beadlines for a softer, more subtle ridgeline, pairing well with the elegant S-curve.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.-Truett Smith
