Dunhill: Shell Briar (3107) (2019)

Product Number: 002-015-4357

Dunhill's "07" Prince can either feature a straight or bent stem and while the elegant form is commonly seen wearing a downturned mouthpiece, straight variations are equally as handsome. The bowl is plump, yet rather petite even here in Group 3 size and is paired to a trim shank and lengthy vulcanite mouthpiece. Such a combination creates a sleek, streamlined profile that simply exudes class and charm, especially here in the marque's signature Shell Briar finish.

The Shell Briar's addition to the Dunhill catalog was a pivotal moment in pipesmoking history. Before 1917, pipes with sandblasted finishes had never been made, and Alfred Dunhill's innovative mind created arguably the most popular finish for pipes today when he unveiled the Shell Briar. With its dark, reserved color palette and delightful texture, it's no surprise that it's still wildly popular over a century later.
