Dunhill: County (2407) (2018)
Product Number: 002-015-4382
One of the most elegant designs, Dunhill's "07" Prince is a graceful shape, especially when rendered in petite Group 2 proportions. It's an inherently svelte piece, the small, forward urging bowl perched on the end of a trim shank and a lengthy, arching mouthpiece that's terminates in a soft downturn. It looks quite charming in the warm, rustic tones of the County finish, one we rarely see adorning the "07." The sandblast is texturally pleasing with the rim left smooth to contrast, while the stummel's earthy brown stain matches well with the cumberland stem.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.- Jeffery Sitts
