Dunhill: Chestnut Quaint Churchwarden (3) (2019)

Product Number: 002-015-4449

Churchwarden shapes aren't designated by Dunhill's methodical number stamps, making them appear in the English marque's Quaint series which is defined by non-standard shapes. Presented here in Group 3 size, the flaring Dublin bowl is dominant in profile, poised on the end of the lithely bent, elongated stem. It's dressed here in the Chestnut finish, making for a consistent palette through the stummel and stem.

A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
