Dunhill: Victoria Shell Briar Paneled Dublin with Silver (4) (17/110) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-4521
Queen Victoria ruled the British Empire for 63 years until her death in 1901, a reign longer than any of her predecessors and a time in history that has become known as the Victorian Era. During this period, Great Britain experienced great advances in technology, industry, scientific enterprise, and civic works, enjoying a widespread level of prosperity and power. To celebrate this iconic monarch, Dunhill presents the Coronation of Queen Victoria series, having been released in 2018 in honor of the 180th anniversary of Queen Victoria's coronation in 1838.
Presented in its own display box, colored a royal purple hue, the pipe itself is a Quaint paneled Dublin, the faceted and flared bowl calling to mind the crisp, rigid profile of a crown. The shape comes from one of Dunhill's catalogs in the 1920s, stamped "SA" at the time. Dressed in the Shell Briar sandblast, it's accented with a broad band of sterling silver engraved with Queen Victoria's royal monogram and "1838." Each pipe also comes complete with a spiraled, royal scepter-themed tamper of sterling silver, the top of which is ornately decorated with a replica of Queen Victoria's coronation crown, even being adorned with a genuine garnet gemstone as the actual crown was. A stunning piece from Dunhill, this is a package for collectors and Anglophiles alike and is a limited edition production of only 110 pipes.
