Dunhill: County (2206) (2017)
Product Number: 002-015-4581
Seen here rendered in diminutive Group 2 size, this "06" Pot rendition from Dunhill offers a more petite and lightweight overall form while still maintaining the shape's proportionally broad bowl. It caters to those drawn to smaller pipes but who appreciate Dunhill's devotion to classic shaping, and collectors will appreciate the smaller group size — such renditions being on the rarer side compared to the English marque's Group 3 and 4 designation. A perfect, practical piece as well as collection-worthy, it's found here in the rich hues of the County line.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.-Truett Smith
