Dunhill: Chestnut (3106) (2013)
Product Number: 002-015-4612
Lovers of classic English shapes and Dunhill in particular will adore this "06" Pot. It's a spot on interpretation, featuring a broad tobacco chamber that's supported by the stout chamber walls and robust shank. Rendered in Group 3 proportions, this example is a medium-sized iteration, though still displaying muscularity through the shank and stem, with the mouthpiece tapering gradually toward the lip button. It's finished here in the clean and complementary color palette of the Chestnut line.
A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.- Chuck Stanion
