Dunhill: SPC 20th Anniversary Two Pipe Set (2/20) (with Ventage Case) Tobacco Pipe

A two-pipe set from Dunhill, these pieces hearken to The White Spot's earliest years: The shapes — an "03" straight Billiard and a "07" Prince — have been mainstays within the English marque's portfolio for decades, and their finishes — the Bruyere and Shell Briar — were the first two finishes ever released by Dunhill, debuting in 1910 and 1917, respectively. In this set, both pipes are of Group 3 size and feature sterling silver military mounts, adding regal flash against the Billiard's ruby Bruyere stain and the Prince's dark-stained Shell Briar sandblast. They're sized for the perfect balance between portability and chamber depth, while also representing the average size of pipes during the early 20th century when The White Spot first began fashioning pipes, and the set comes in one of Dunhill's signature Ventage cases. The sturdy, hardshell leather case was invented by Alfred Dunhill in 1919 and patented the following year, and it was designed specifically to safely stow pipes while still allowing them to cool and vent thanks to the case's innovative ventilation channel.

To commemorate such a milestone, we've partnered with numerous pipe makers to release several projects throughout the year, and presented here is Dunhill's generous contribution to our 20th Anniversary line. As this is a deeply personal endeavor, Sykes wanted each series not only to showcase the aspects at which each manufacturer excels, but also to represent pipes which he himself found interesting and attractive. The idea for The White Spot's entry started in 2019 when Sykes and Shane visited the Dunhill factory in London, and the resulting shapes and, specifically, the sizes of each pipe in this set reflect Sykes' personal preferences. As with the rest of the series, these pipes are stamped with the 20th Anniversary logo — oriented along the silver mount for clarity, while also remaining subtle and refined. Capped at only 20 total sets, this limited-edition run is exclusive to Smokingpipes, and each piece is serialized and comes complete with a certificate signed by Sykes Wilford and Kalmon Hener, Product Line Director for The White Spot.
