Dunhill: County (1214) (2018)
Product Number: 002-015-4748
Dunhill's Group 1 designation consists of pieces that sit well on the compact, petite end of their sizing spectrum and offer an excellent option for those who prefer diminutive pipes they can easily take anywhere. Here, we find the English marque's elegantly shaped "14" bent Dublin rendered in Group 1 pocket-friendly proportions. It's a shape that exudes class and poise, with its sinuous shank-and-stem combination curling lithely into the poised, trumpeting bowl. The shape's elegance is enhanced further by the warm, rich tones of the County series.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.- Jeffery Sitts
