Dunhill: Chestnut with Horn (2103) (2019)

Product Number: 002-015-4965

One of Dunhill's rarer iterations of their "03" Billiard, this Group 2 offering features a creamy mount of genuine horn at the shank end. Furthering this piece's collectible appeal, the mount flares elegantly outward, instead of being inwardly rounded as is the case on The White Spot's more traditionally inclined, military-mounted pipes. It's an incredibly charming piece, the horn mount both allowing the pipe to be broken down even while hot while also presenting a wonderful aesthetic and color palette. A less often seen piece from Dunhill, this is one that no true collector should pass on, all dressed in the dark hues of the Chestnut line.

A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
