Dunhill: Chestnut (3124) (2017)
Product Number: 002-015-5002
Winston Churchill didn't regularly smoke a pipe — he was more of a cigar guy — but were he to have, I wager he'd have smoked a Dunhill. To go a step further, I think Dunhill's "24" Foursquare would be a favorite shape of the British Prime Minister: embodying his sturdy nature and stout disposition and able to be set down on a conference room table while pouring a glass of Johnnie Walker. This particular rendition is presented in moderate, Group-3 size and is dressed in the smoky stain of the Chestnut series.
A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.-Truett Smith
