Dunhill: County (6109) (2018)
Product Number: 002-015-5074
Group 6 is Dunhill's largest standard size designation, making this "09" Canadian one of The White Spot's largest offerings. Sometimes a shape will lose its proportional balance when the size is increased; however, Dunhill is renowned for its classic shaping, and this piece maintains the shape's compositional balance in traditional style — from the height of the bowl to the elongation of the oval shank. It's a perfect pipe for fans of classic English shapes and larger pipes in general.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.-Truett Smith
