Dunhill: County (2106) (2019)
Product Number: 002-015-5137
This "06" straight Pot from Dunhill has a unique hexagonal paneling to the shank and stem, a look we don't often see from the English marque. The popular County finish it's dressed in is something we do see more often, and always appreciate when we do. This rendition displays ruddy, earthy stain of striking contrast and rustic sandblast, making the texture equally interesting for the eye and finger pads to explore. The cumberland stem continues the unique hexagonal profile as it tapers toward the hand-cut lip button, its warm, variegated hues complementing the stummel's finish.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.- Joel Balyeat
