Dunhill: County (2108) (2018) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-015-5186

Defined by a quarter bend and Bulldog bowl, Dunhill's "08" can take the form as either a Bulldog or Rhodesian depending on the shank's shaping. Here, this example presents the latter's rounded style, easing naturally into the curving heel. Continuing the softened motif, the bowl features a subtle ridgeline just below the tapered rim in place of beadlines. Muscular in hand yet quite genteel of line, it's an elegant composition, made more rugged by the County's sandblast and rustic color palette.

Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.
