Dunhill: Chestnut (4212) (2016)

Product Number: 002-015-5218

An interesting fact about the Dunhill "12" straight Billiard is that, in its earlier form, it was actually the base for one of Alfred Dunhill's "windshield" pipe designs. While that vintage rendition is still fashioned on occasion by The White Spot, most often the "12" is a classic Chimney/Stack shape with a tall, traditional style. This Group 4 iteration fits will into that convention, adding to it a sleek cumberland saddle stem that complements the dark Chestnut stain.

A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
