Dunhill: County with Silver (3103) (2019)
Product Number: 002-015-5258
Sitting stably on a flattened underside, this "03" Billiard from Dunhill is presented in the compact dimensions of the marque's Group 3 size. With an elegantly tapered cumberland stem complimenting the light mahogany sandblast of the stummel's County finish and meeting a regal band of sterling silver, this pipe balances a decided rusticity with an ultimately genteel demeanor. The stummel features supple curves about the heel and transition, the bowl almost perfectly round, fitting into the hand naturally.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.-John McElheny
