Dunhill: Bruyere (3407) (2019) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-5488
One of only a few examples we've seen of this trim, especially regal rendition of the Prince, this Group 3 "07" shape is positively gorgeous, and thoroughly grounded in the English shaping traditional exemplified by the venerable Dunhill firm. It's here found in deep ruby finish of the Bruyere series, showcasing lovely wisps of grain. A vulcanite army mount adds a bespoke touch, flaring elegantly at the shank's face.
The Bruyere was Alfred Dunhill's original finish upon launching his brand of premium pipes and smoking accessories and was the only Dunhill finish from 1910 until 1917. Even after the addition of other finishes, the Bruyere maintained a high level of popularity, becoming synonymous with what is thought of, even today, as the quintessential pipe. To achieve the iconic, ruby hue and saturation, a skilled craftsman painstakingly layers particular stains in a precise manner, then meticulously polishes the pipe to a high luster. The final result is, simply put, timeless.-Angela Robertson
