Dunhill: Chestnut (4102) (2019) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-5531
The bent Billiard is regarded as one of the most popular and traditional pipe shapes, and Dunhill's "02" rendition defines much of what people expect of the design regarding overall style and proportion standards. Nowhere is that best represented than in the marque's Group 4 size, presenting perfectly balanced and convenient proportions — the bowl large enough to house a respectable chamber, yet not too robust so as to throw off the balance afforded by the bent shank-and-stem combination. This pipe is wearing the elegant, smoky stain of the smooth Chestnut finish.
A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
