Dunhill: County (2106) (2013) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-5611
Presented in handy Group 2 size, this "06" straight Pot from Dunhill pairs a slender, squat bowl to a low-set shank-and-stem arrangement. The abbreviated shank is bolstered by a mount of brindled vulcanite, which, along with the tapered, push-style stem, enables the piece to be broken down easily, even while the pipe is still hot. The stummel wears the warm, mahogany-hued County sandblast that accentuates the natural grain orientation of the briar, while the cumberland mount and stem complement the tones of the stummel beautifully.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.--Davin Hylton
