Dunhill: County (4412) (2019) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-5623
The "12" shape designation on Dunhill's standard shape chart denotes a Chimney/Stack bowl. In this particularly Group 4 version, that stummel is fitted to a slightly bent stem as denoted by the second "4" stamp in the nomenclature. Such a pairing adds more gesture to the silhouette and lends the bowl the impression of a forward cant, while also more evenly distributing the pipe's weight. The tall, deeply-chambered bowl is appreciatively dressed in the County finish, affording plenty of surface area to enjoy the sandblasted texture.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.
