Dunhill: County (5120) (2017) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-5628
Similar to the "22" Poker, Dunhill's "20" Cherrywood pairs a sure-sitting, cylindrical bowl to a low-set transition, with the primary difference being the addition of a gently bent stem. Such a design cue is reminiscent of the elegantly downturned stem of the Prince shape and serves to offer a greater sense of balance when clenched. It's found here in Group 5 proportions with the bowl displaying a hint of forward cant and all dressed in the ruddy tones of the County sandblast with the softly inflated rim left smooth for a hint of contrast.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.
