Dunhill: SPC Two Pipe Set 2021 Cumberland/Chestnut (14/15) (with Ventage Case) Tobacco Pipe

In 2020, Dunhill and Smokingpipes collaborated on a series of limited-edition two-pipe sets to commemorate our 20th anniversary as a company. For 2021, collaboration continues with 31 special two-pipe sets, comprising 15 Cumberland/Chestnut pairings, 15 Shell Briar/Bruyere pairings, and a lone Root Briar/Ring Grain pairing, all adorned with sterling silver and packaged in one of Dunhill's patented Ventage cases. Each set offers the "01" straight Apple and the "02" bent Billiard in handy Group 3 size, the iconic, timeless duo striking the classic, confident profiles that have charmed generations of pipe smokers.

The "3102" bent Billiard in this particular set features a pert, upright bowl with a sweeping heel that carries momentum into the trim, lifted shank and arcing tapered stem of brindled vulcanite. The shank-and-stem arrangement strikes a fluid, gestural S-curve out back that promotes a comfortable, hands-free smoking posture and lends the overall composition a willowy note in profile. The handsome, copper-hued Cumberland sandblast showcases the stummel's lively grain patterns, while the sterling silver band at the junction adds a dose of flash. The "3201" straight Apple offers a sleeker, more streamlined design compared to the bent Billiard, pairing a plump, rounded bowl to an low-set shank-and-stem combination. The bowl and shank are well-balanced proportionally, and the entire design offers a lightweight presence for comfortable clenching. The dark, smoky Chestnut finish pairs well with the brindled vulcanite saddle stem for a cohesive aesthetic that's brightened by the sterling silver accent. Both pipes exude a sense of refinement, and they will no doubt become prized smoking instruments within any collection.
