Dunhill: SPC Two Pipe Set 2021 Shell Briar/Bruyere (1/15) (with Ventage Case) Tobacco Pipe

In 2020 Dunhill made special, limited-edition 2-pipe sets to honor the 20th Anniversary of Smokingpipes, and we've continued the collaboration with a new series of just 31 sets for 2021. Every set comprises a smooth finished "3201" straight Apple and a sandblasted "3102" bent Billiard, each wearing one of the venerated English marque's iconic finishes, elevated by a handsome band of knurled silver and completed by a Ventage case. Patented by Alfred Dunhill in 1920, these special clam-shell cases allow excellent portability, as they store both pipes securely and include a special venting system to allow the pipes to cool and dry when closed.

Out of 31 total sets, 15 offer a pairing of Bruyere and Shell Briar finishes, the very first smooth and sandblasted finishes, respectively, produced by Dunhill, and this particular set is serialized as number one of those 15. The "01" straight Apple benefits from a gleaming rendition of the Bruyere finish, the dark hues accentuating handsome grain patterns and providing a perfect complement to the sleek shape, while a hand-cut jet-black saddle stem stretches lithely out back. The "02" bent Billiard provides a fine canvas on which to display the grain-defining Shell Briar sandblast, with the dark stain unifying well with the gently bent vulcanite stem. The intricate silver bands on each provide a strong note of elegance, putting the final touch on truly exquisite renditions of these timeless shapes and finishes.
