Dunhill: County Quaint Prince (3) (2017) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-5771
Sleek and streamlined, this Prince is part of Dunhill's Quaint line of pipes, a variant reserved for pieces that don't quite ascribe to the marque's numbered shape chart standard. The Group 3 Apple-like bowl is low-lying and slightly forward-canting, the fore protruding a bit when viewed in profile. A rounded base allows it to sit sturdily, with the round shank married to the gently raised, slender Prince stem, the elongated, graceful curve turning down at the bit. A refined pipe, it's dressed in the pastoral County sandblasted finish.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.
