Dunhill: Chestnut (2106) (2017) Tobacco Pipe

This "06" Pot from Dunhill is a playful rendition of the traditional shape. The pert bowl rests at the fore of a round shank rendered in cumberland, also serving as a military mount for this pipe's unique stem. Also made of cumberland, the stem displays a lateral bend that can be clenched at the corner of the mouth to keep smoke out of one's eyes. The stem bears the white spot on both sides, allowing the smoker to configure the stem to their liking. Dressed in Dunhill's Cumberland finish, this pipe offers a rich and warm color palette, showing traces of smoky grain around the stummel.

A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
