Dunhill: Chestnut (5120) (2019) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-015-5968

Dunhill's "20" design is a graceful Cherrywood, offering the sure-sitting posture of a Poker with the added balance of a bent pipe. In this Group 5 rendition, the angle of the flattened heel poises the bowl at a slight cant as the shank and stem angle and curl behind. Said bowl is wonderfully cylindrical, rising to a gently inflated rim which adds a touch of welcome softness to this otherwise stolid composition. Appropriate for a shape with a history of practicality and robustness, this piece comes in group 5 size, extending the length to just over six inches though keeping the weight light. Dressed in the deep stain of the Chestnut series and paired to a cumberland stem, this pipe is quite a handsome one, allowing you to smoke both practically and stylishly.

A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
