Dunhill: Chestnut with Horn (4102) (2021) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-6147
While the shaping of this "02" bent Billiard personifies Dunhill's devotion to classic English styling, it's elevated and made rarer by a generous military mount of genuine horn. The construction provides greater durability and break-down ease, while also contributing an intriguing depth to the color palette. Dressed here in the glossy sheen and deep, earthy stain of the Chestnut series, this piece comes paired with a sleek tapered stem of cumberland, matching the hues of the stummel and complimenting those of the mount.
A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
