Dunhill: Root Briar (4103) (2018) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-015-6165
A fine example of Dunhill's refined shaping style, this "03" Billiard is a charming bit of English craftsmanship. It features a tall, upright bowl that rises at the fore of a sleek stretch of shank and stem. The shank features a military mount that receives a push-style stem. Both mount and stem allow for the composition to be easily broken down, even while the pipe is still hot. Presented in Group 4 size, the bowl offers plenty of chamber within its thick insulating walls and the overall form boasts a keen balance. Dressed in the honey-blonde Root Briar finish, the stummel displays a handsome array of flame grain about the bowl.
The highest honor for a Dunhill pipe is to receive the prestigious Root Briar appellation. Root Briars have been coveted by pipe smokers ever since they first debuted in 1931, due to the fact that each pipe must boast briar completely free of even the most minor of blemishes. Dunhill has the strictest of standards and expectations for quality with all of their pipes, and so any block of briar that comes to bear the Root Briar stamp must indeed be superlative.--Davin Hylton
